Privacy
FinTools provides browser-side finance calculators. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser; FinTools does not create accounts, store financial profiles on a server, connect to accounts, or call financial APIs.
Current Pages
Like most websites, browsers and hosting providers may process basic technical data such as IP address, requested page, browser type, and timestamps to deliver the site and keep it reliable.
Sharing Scenarios
Sharing happens only when you choose to copy a scenario link or download a result PNG. Links contain readable inputs after the # character, including debt names. Anyone with the link can read those values and recalculate the scenario. The fragment is not sent to our hosting server in the page request, but links can remain in browser history, synced history, clipboard contents, or messages where you share them. Social previews use the generic calculator page, without your financial values.
Result images are created in your browser and include results and assumptions. They are downloaded to your device, not uploaded to FinTools. FinTools does not automatically save scenarios in browser storage. Avoid putting account numbers or other sensitive details in debt names or shared scenarios.
Saved Calculations
Choosing Save as new stores a name, optional description, local record ID, and a scenario link containing your inputs in this browser’s local storage. All seven calculators use the same library. Update selected saved calculation explicitly replaces that record’s inputs; changing inputs alone never saves them. The library is not uploaded to FinTools, linked to an account, or synced between devices.
Anyone using the same browser profile can view these records. Avoid sensitive details in names, descriptions, or inputs. You can rename or delete records in Saved calculations. Clearing site data removes the library, and private browsing may remove it when the session ends. Loading adds an opaque local record ID to the page address; it contains no financial values but may appear in hosting logs and browser history. Copied scenario links omit that local ID.
Calculator Changes
Calculators should run in the browser where practical. If a later feature needs server storage, analytics, advertising, payment, account connections, or external data, this page should be reviewed before launch.
Financial Information
Do not send sensitive financial information through feedback email. FinTools does not need account numbers, statements, tax identifiers, or similar private data to review site suggestions.
